Our first plugin, the Mongoose Page Plugin, was launched in 2015. In just over a year it had quickly amassed more than 30,000 active installs, and had evolved from a little plugin released for fun to one of the most popular social media plugins. It was no longer a side project, it was a product of it’s own. From there, Mongoose Marketplace was born and officially launched in 2018. Following the launch of the brand, our first premium plugin Mongoose Social Share was released in August 2018.
Founder and Lead Developer
While working on a website back in 2015, Cameron built the first iteration of what would become the Mongoose Page Plugin. Thinking it could be useful to others, he rebuilt it as a plugin and released it to the public on WordPress.org, kickstarting a love of developing plugins. As the plugin’s popularity grew, so too did the number of plugins, as well as the number of other services he provided, it became clear that the plugins needed a brand of their own. As a result, Mongoose Marketplace was launched in 2018.
Away from the keyboard he keeps busy playing Aussie Rules and cricket on weekends.
